This is annoying. How could the census taker not record first names?

The good thing, though, is that this combination of initials works for me. K J C Eley is Kennith John Cephas Eley and his father J J Eley is Jacob J. Eley. I still don’t know, even through subsequent census listings, the actual spelling of his mother’s name: Lou Adda, Lue_____ Addy.
