About

Hi, my name is Kenya Allmond, a family historian with roots in Virginia and South Carolina.

I’m a researcher, technologist, and storyteller with a deep commitment to preserving African American history—especially the lives, legacies, and land of those whose stories have been left out of the mainstream narrative. My work blends historical research, genealogical investigation, and digital tools to document the past with clarity, structure, and respect.

With professional roots in computer science, computer forensics, and investigations, I bring a sharp eye for detail and a strong sense of integrity to everything I do. Whether I’m transcribing century-old obituaries, mapping family connections through DNA, or organizing historical data into accessible formats, I approach each project with purpose: to uncover truth, reconcile legacy, and build a bridge between what was and what still can be.

I created this site for interesting things I come across in my own genealogy research. It is my hope that this site reflects that mission—where history meets technology, and where storytelling becomes a form of justice.
